Terrestrial Hyperspectral


In addition to airborne remote sensing collections, SpecTIR has developed techniques for terrestrial hyperspectral data collection, both in the field and indoors. These collection services leverage the same sensor systems, personnel, and expertise of the SpecTIR Remote Sensing division.

In Field Collections

SpecTIR’s static collect scanner uses VNIR/SWIR scanning systems mounted in a horizontal configuration to collect two-dimensional images by slowly sweeping across a target from a given distance. The mounting platform is a servo controlled turntable programmed to rotate at very precise rate. Applications include mineralogical mapping of vertical minewalls, structural and material maintenance of buildings, dams, bridges, and road-cuts. | Trinity Minewall Mapping
